Ardex Provide Flooring Solution For The National Gallery

ARDEX UK teamed up with Specialist Screeding Solutions Ltd to supply their high quality flooring products for a refurbishment project at the world famous National Gallery. The 500m2 project involved the refurbishment of the five Lower Galleries. To commence, the existing uneven sub-floor received an application of ARDEX's advanced levelling compound, ARDEX K 15-B, which has been specifically designed for thicker levelling applications from 5mm to 35mm. A 50mm layer of unbonded ARDEX A 35 rapid drying and hardening cement/sand screed was then applied to provide a flat, hard surface and again due to the ARDEX Rapidry Formula, the surface was ready to be walked on in just 3 hours, with final floorcoverings being fixed just 24 hours after application.
